Gabrielle Dominguez, a Cuban-American dancer from Miami, FL who is on a mission to share her movement and enhance growth in the dance community. She was born and raised in Miami, FL where she started dance at 10 years old and hasn’t stopped dancing since, She spent her youth years training in technical and commercial styles while competing in studio dance competitions for 7 years, till she graduated Coral Reef Senior High School from the dance magnet program.
Post graduation she attended AMDA, a performing arts college in Los Angeles, for 2 years and finished her schooling online in Miami due to the pandemic. The quarantine time period was a very transformative time for her as an artist as she overcame many internal blockages to be her fullest potential & trained under some of the most influential choreographers in their online programs. From Diana Matos & Cat Rendic, to Kerrie & Zacc Milne, she was eager to continue growing and found discomfort a beautiful aspect about dance. As quarantine restrictions started to lift, she began putting herself out in the Miami dance world and landed a job touring with Flo Rida. She has been traveling the world living her childhood dance dream, until she discovered a new passion she never thought would be there, Teaching. With her spare time in-between show days, she started teaching kids at her alma mater dance studio then transitioned into teaching adults.
Her teaching journey came with a lot of ups and downs, mainly leaning towards fear and self doubt about her style. But as she continued teaching adults she couldn’t help but realize that her style revealed untapped potential in her students that she had to offer. Therefore, Mamasita Movement was created to introduce a new level and technique for dancing in heels. Gabrielle’s goals for this company are not only to bring her students abilities to awareness, but to continue on a path of acceptance and self love for what she has to offer the dance community.
